Job Role: Software Engineer

  • Qualification: B.E. or B.Tech
  • Location: Hyderabad
  • CTC: INR 6-12 LPA

Key Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer at HSBC, your role will involve:

  • Test Automation: Design, develop, and support test automation scripts for the test infrastructure, providing automation solutions.
  • Agile Collaboration: Work as part of cross-functional, passionate agile project teams to ensure quality is embedded in the development process from requirements definition through to delivery.
  • QA Environment Management: Take full ownership of and maintain a robust QA environment, including test databases and system deployments.
  • Test Strategy Development: Devise test strategies to adequately cover requirements, develop high-level test scenarios that implement the strategy, and elaborate these scenarios into detailed test cases.
  • Training and Best Practices: Conduct training sessions and share best practices with the QA Team.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate with project stakeholders to develop and maintain test schedules within established project management methodologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess the following skills:

  • Programming Expertise: Strong programming skills in JAVA or Python for developing test automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, TestNG, and Junit.
  • Automation Frameworks: Expertise in automation framework development using Selenium or Tosca.
  • Performance Testing: Strong expertise in different types of performance testing, including Load, Stress, Peak, and Volume testing using tools like JMeter.
  • CI/CD Knowledge: A solid understanding of CI/CD principles is essential.
  • Technical Documentation: Proficiency in writing technical documentation, including defects and issues.
  • Source Control Systems: Hands-on experience using source control systems such as GitHub.
  • ETL Testing and SQL: Experience in ETL testing and strong proficiency in SQL queries.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail and ownership of work.
